The barracks in the "Birkenau" subcamp. The name "Birkenau" translates into "birch meadow".
 
This form of distortion, describing hell on earth as a meadow of birch trees,
formed the bases of the so-called "newspeak" in George Orwell's novel "Nineteen Eighty-Four".
